Trevor Macenski, M.S., REA, is an Associate and the Branch Manager for the Sacramento office of MBA and is intimately
familiar with both local and regional issues in the Northern CA.
As an environmental scientist, environmental planner, and project manager, he specializes in local, regional, and state
government clients.
Trevor has experience providing environmental impact assessment and urban and regional land use planning documents for
both the public and private sectors.
Having authored General Plans, Housing Elements, Specific Plans, Master Plans, Community Design Guidelines, and
environmental compliance documents for such planning efforts, Trevor is intimately familiar with Land Use and Planning. W
ith experience in analyzing projects under CEQA and NEPA along with federal, state, and local regulations, Trevor has
prepared a wide range of environmental documents that include Environmental Impact Reports, Initial Studies,
Mitigated Negative Declarations, Notice of Exemptions, Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Programs,
Notices of Preparation, Notices of Intent, Notices of Determination, Preliminary Environmental Studies,
Historic Property Survey Reports, Natural Environmental Studies, Air Quality Impact Studies, and Wetland Delineations.
Trevor has completed CEQA documentation for alternative energy, Port, residential, commercial, educational, public,
roadway, recreational, and industrial projects. He also has experience working with jurisdictional waters
(wetlands and vernal pools), including experience performing wetland delineations and assistance with the design of
wetland water treatment systems.
His expertise includes CWA Section 404 permit requirements;
Section 7 and Section 10, Local Government Planning, Caltrans environmental requirements, Phase I and Phase II ESAs,
Air Quality Modeling, and global climate change (AB 32 and SB 375).
Trevor earned a Master’s of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy for the Johns Hopkins University and a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from the University of California, Davis.
He is the Director of the Superior California Chapter of the Association of Environmental Professionals, which
encompasses the greater Sacramento valley, and is a State of California Registered Environmental Assessor #08240.
